I am the Garfield of poker...

...I cling on desperately by my nails (and love lasagne, though thats hardly relevant).

Played my favourite tourney last night, the Sunday 20-in. I know everyone always goes on about the Monday 100 game and the 50+50 Friday game but no tourney has been kinder to me then the 20-in, and I enjoy the banter and fun too. In the end of the day I play poker for two reasons, to win and to enjoy myself and I find I do both more often in the 20-in.

Cold Cards and Warm Flushes

I got the opportunity to actually *play* in the three blind structure 20-in game in the Fitz last night. Considering how awkward and weird it is to deal I was keen to experience it from the players point of view. The fact that it was introduced to alleviate the gamble-fest that final table had regularly become meant that I would have to get to there to see what effect it had. Purely for journalistic research you understand.

The biggest lie I've ever been told about poker...

I had only been playing about 5 months but I went through a dreadful period of self doubt. After a hideous run of bad beats and outdraws over a three week period I was beginning to despair that I'd ever win again.
